Homeowners in Jacksonville were the first to discover First Coast Home Pros, a housecleaning company that provides a cleaning service that homeowners clamored for. What started as a small family-owned business has grown into a leading professional cleaning company in North Florida.

First Coast Home Pros was formed to fill the needs of the growing number of households in Duval County and other surrounding counties. The basis of the early business was to provide the very best household cleaning services possible. The goal was to establish a business that got back to the basics and completed the job done in the fashion of previous generations, when people like your parents and grandparents took pride in their homes and kept them clean and well-maintained. It seemed that over the years, house cleaning had become a lost art, a remnant of the past, having been succeeded by franchised cleaning companies whose goal was to get in and out of your home quickly. It was an experience that gave your home a light dusting instead of a complete deep cleaning.

First Coast Home Pros offers Low Pressure Roof Cleaning. It is safe for your shingles, improves energy efficiency, extends the life of your roof and improves the aesthetic appeal. Our process is recommended by ARMA (Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association). This service is good for any roof type including asphalt shingles, barrel tile, flat tile, slate and metal roofs.

Whether your floors are made of ceramic tiles or stone tiles, any tiled flooring requires grout. Grout is just the mortar-like putty used to keep ceramic tiles and other floor tiles in place. Once it dries up, it holds the tile in place like cement. But grout is very porous and collects dirt and also can wear out just like any other material, and so needs regular cleaning and maintenance. Over time, as it wears out, you may face problems like permanent discoloration if you don’t carry out periodic maintenance.

In the case of stone tiles, it can be small and need only minimal attention, but in the case of ceramic tiles, the it can be significant and need regular cleaning, and occasional resealing to prevent permanent discoloration. Your tiles are held in place, without getting chipped or cracked only by your grout. Your stone and grout cleaning Jacksonville company will seal and clean your grout for you. Your building contractor might use any one of two types of grout - either sanded or unsanded. While for the laying of stone tiles, unsanded grout is used, for ceramic and other tiles, sanded grout is used. Both types need to be sealed in, with resealing to maintain the grout which faces constant wear and tear.

With only $300 in the bank, Josh Kennedy borrowed a ladder from his Dad and started his business almost five years ago washing windows in Jacksonville's Urban Core.  Now First Coast Home Pros has been listed as one of Jacksonville’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2013 by the Jacksonville Business Journal. His company has grown to 25 employees, 11 vehicles and over 6,000 customers. “We grew 300 percent in our second year and every year since we’ve grown right about 100 percent,” says Kennedy.

Keeping the house clean at all times can be a daunting task; with so many rooms to clean and so many different items to dust off. However, as tough as the task might look, you can put into practice small yet effective house-cleaning habits that will make that periodic complete makeover a lot easier. Here are a few tips for keeping a clean house:

1. Instead of leaving all your cleaning to be done on a specific day or time, try and do little bits of tidying up whenever you are free. For people who work from home, this is much easier to effect. If you work from a computer at home, do little bits of tidying up whenever you take a break from the computer.

Many of the modern-day household cleaning products in the market today are toxic compounds that not only harm the environment, but also bring about all manner of health problems by aggravating diseases such as allergies, bronchitis, sinusitis, asthma and many more. The US National Center for Health Statistics estimates that 1/3 of the American population suffers from the health conditions mentioned above; it’s therefore absolutely imperative that we find healthier alternatives for our home-cleaning compounds.

Luckily for us, our increased consciousness of how we interact with our environment and the highly popular Green Movement have led to the development of safer cleaning products that do not damage our environment or cause health complications. Let’s have a look at some safer non-toxic cleaning compounds:
